Warner Music posts $80m loss for Q4 2012 as digital grows

Warner Music Group has posted a loss of $80m for the three months to the end of 2012.

Revenues for the period across the group stood at $769m - a 1% rise year-on-year - whilst digital revenues grew 16% to $219m.

The firm said that the $80m net loss ‘reflects the impact of an $83 million loss on the extinguishment of debt in connection with the company’s November 2012 refinancing of certain indebtedness’.
