ICE deal brings SoundCloud silver lining for rights-holders

Pan-European licensing body ICE has told Music Week its new multi-territory licensing deal with SoundCloud will boost royalty payments and help the streaming platform build a successful subscriptions service.

The agreement, for GEMA, STIM and PRS For Music repertoire, encompasses SoundCloud services across Europe, including ad-supported and subscription offerings.
