Aston Merrygold has the tech boffins at Samsung to thank for an unexpected upswing in fortunes for his 2015 single, Get Stupid.

A TV ad flaunting Samsung’s cutting edge smartphone technology is using the former JLS singer’s upbeat track, and the result is a real sync earworm, a case where the music quickly becomes synonymous with the imagery.

Vikki Josephs manages Merrygold at LME Management and describes the hook up as “a second chance” for the song.
