It operates as a plug-in for the Chrome web browser and helps users discover new music as they browse the internet. Previously know as ExtensionFM, it rebranded as exfm at the end of last year.
TechCrunch reports that exfm will use the new funding to go beyond the Chrome browser as well as develop dedicated iPhone and Android apps.
The company had previously raised $500k (?307k) funding last August.
