Whitney Houston UK price rise was a 'mistake', Sony apologises
Wednesday, Feb 15th 2012 at 9:48AMThe Ultimate Collection saw a price hike from £4.99 to £7.99 on iTunes in the UK on Sunday along with Whitney: The Greatest Hits, which went from £7.99 to £9.99.
The Sony statement explained:
"Whitney Houston product was mistakenly mispriced on the UK iTunes store on Sunday. When discovered, the mistake was immediately corrected. We apologize for any offense caused."
A Sony source talking to Billboard.biz added that the error was an "internal mistake due to an employee error."
