Best in business recognised at Music Week Awards 2008

The winners of Music Week’s Awards 2008 celebrated in style at the Grosvenor House Hotel last night after picking up their awards from actor James Nesbitt.

The Play.com’s Helen Marquis and David Rimmer were the first on stage to pick up the award for Online Store of the Year and were followed swiftly by Rough Trade’s Spencer Hickman who picked up the award for High Street Retail Store of the Year for Rough Trade East.

A special Recognition of Services to Music Retail award was handed over to Paul Quirk, of Quirk Records, for his contribution to the independent music retail sector.

Other winners last night included Now Play It for Digital Achievement of Year, Radio Two for National Radio Station of the Year and PIAS UK for Sales Force of the Year.
