WHO: Osquello Kainwan is the musical alias of 19-year-old Fabiano Lewis.

WHAT: Osquello's fresh electronic sound is influenced by jazz and soul, and he favours the dreamy but grimy soundscapes explored by King Krule. He straddles rapping and singing in a similar way, too.

WHAT'S THE DEAL?

New single Tired Creature is out now and there's an EP around the corner. He revealed its title, The Simulated Night, in a recent interview with music site Platform One. "It's to make you feel better about yourself," he said.

SO IT'S POSITIVE?

Definitely. Tracks such as Simulated Void and Conducta extol the virtues of feeling good (and weed).

ANYTHING ELSE?

Yes - he's worked with friend Declan McKenna, which means he's on the industry's radar.
