Handle Recruitment is searching for an Asset Library Assistant to manage the Asset Library at this major record label based in London. 

You will be responsible for the supply and maintenance of all media assets as required, working closely with a number of different departments including creative production, Sync & Licensing and I.T.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and provide asset reports as required

• Provide technical advice to staff and to 3rd parties as required

• Work closely with team to improve database functionality and help solve any user issues that may arise

• Timely fulfilment of media asset requests and co-ordination of associated mastering

• Assist A&R with master delivery and master storage requirements

• Work with Business Affairs to establish lost rights and return any associated masters

• Provide research, metadata and pre-production services for D2C projects

• Ensure a common standard of master delivery across all labels to maintain quality

• Assist where required with Digital Archiving

• Identify duplicate masters and opportunities for alternative, cost-saving storage solutions

• Be responsible for on-going logging and storage projects

• Maintain regular contact with other territories for asset requests and technical research

• Provide input for preservation and exploitation of assets where required

• Keep up to date with and research new media storage solutions and developments

• Assist with ad hoc departmental duties as required

 

Key Skills / Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communications

• Pro-active & forward thinking, with a view to cost-saving and a keen eye for detail

• Previous experience in a similar role within a music company

• Able to demonstrate experience handling / processing data

• Highly organised and efficient with the ability to meet deadlines

• An excellent understanding of digital files, master formats and music technology; able to pick up information quickly

• Superb MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Knowledge of MS Access, Business Objects, FTP, Digidelivery, Sound forge, digital delivery websites highly desirable
