Disciple Media is looking for a business development manager. Your job will be to identify artists that will thrive on our mobile platform and convert them into clients.
Disciple Media is a ground-breaking music start-up that has assembled world class technology developers and a highly experienced team from the music industry to create subscription-based platforms for artists. It allows artists to deliver content directly from their laptop or smart phone to their fans’ smartphones through a paywall. We have spent the last 18 months developing our technology and are about to launch our first clients.
The company is well funded and extremely ambitious.
Job description
• Identifying artists that will flourish on our technology platform/model
• Sales of the platform to artists, managers and labels
• Management of the client pipeline
• Commercial negotiation with clients
• Travel around Europe
• Reporting to the head of Business Development
Profile
• Professional, organised, goal driven individual
• Extensive knowledge and multiple years of experience in the music industry
• An expert understanding of the digital music space
• Extensive contacts at all levels within the music industry (labels and management in particular)
• A proven record of sales and commercial negotiation
• Experience at major labels, management companies or booking agencies.
• Knowledge of social media management
• A passion for technology and a love of music
