About the role:
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, super-organised contracts assistant to join our team. You’ll be working alongside our event managers and artist liaison team to assist with contract negotiation and administration for a number of our festivals and venues, including Printworks, Y Not, Hideout, and Snowbombing. You’ll be looking after artist contracts, riders and itineraries and freelancer agreements, working closely with internal teams as well as external stakeholders and staff. This role requires a confident, highly organised individual who is able to work well under pressure, with excellent attention to detail.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Drafting, negotiating and amending contracts and managing the signature process.
- Flagging potential problems and/or risks with contracts and escalating to the legal team where necessary.
- Collating information for hospitality and tech riders.
- Submitting invoices for payment and returning remittance.
- Other ad hoc administrative support duties as they arise, potentially around business insurance policies, immigration, and data protection.
You must have:
- A high degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Exceptional organisation.
- The ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure, and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Word.
- A ‘team player’ attitude, whilst also being confident and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An understanding of contracts and contract law (including both language and process) and a willingness to learn.
- The ability to problem-solve independently and seeking advice when needed.
- The ability to set and maintain pace on projects when required.
- Some experience within entertainment / live events, ideally music, with an understanding of the industry.
