Role Description

The Marketing Partnerships (UK) department is looking for a Director within the Account Management division.

The role requires an individual with exceptional and developed management skills to oversee the team on their day to day delivery of partnerships across the LN portfolio, with a festivals being a key area.

Ensuring the team are working efficiently and to the highest standard - consistently - across all accounts, assets and stakeholders is pivotal to the success of the role. The focus is smooth & streamlined delivery with clarity on lines of communication and accountability.

The successful candidate will need to liaise with heads of department and stakeholders to ensure contractual rights are delivered efficiently and to work through solutions for any escalated issues. They will have the necessary skills to operate with blue chip clients at senior management level, including CEOs, COOs, MDs & Brand Managers.

They will need to have a thorough and deep understanding of music marketing as a brand-building platform partnered with 1st hand experience in the live music business, specifically festival experience and brand marketing; guiding the team and leading by example on how to deliver the best ROI for clients and meet Live Nation’s business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all partner contractual obligations are being delivered to the highest standard by the team.
  • Make recommendations on deal ownership – ensuring necessary contact sheets are up to date.
  • Take initiative on setting up team tool kit to roll out across portfolio wide delivery - to include implementation of new systems, processes, best practice methods and reporting.
  • Accountability across all team’s accounts & partnerships, ensuring they are being maximised for all parties concerned, including maximum renewal and upsell opportunity.
  • Take a directive role on accounts where appropriate.
  • Ownership of key account(s).
  • Forge strong relationships - in tandem with the LN Account Management team -, with senior clients and senior agency contacts through the team delivery process.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments and stakeholders to enable cost efficient and accurate delivery of commercial programmes
  • Maintain relationships with Live Nation stakeholder business and feedback regularly on these businesses.
  • Ensure account plans are identified and actioned across all partnerships.
  • Supervise the request of all required services & accommodation for the season.
  • Make recommendations on outsourced needs (inc. photographers/ videographers and research).
  • Represent the team at senior client functions and meetings.
  • All team HR including but not limited to:
  • Growth and development of the team through regular 1-2-1s and PDRs – inc. making recommendations for progression, highlighting talent gaps or escalating performance issues to the VP, Account Management
  • Recruitment
  • Leave processing - ensuring sufficient coverage is in place at any given time of year.
  • Work closely with VP of Account Management on new department & team directives including but not limited to – renewals, account management plans, measurement tools.

Requirements

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

Essential

  • Considerable and in depth expertise gained in an account /project /marketing management role (could be from agency or promoter background) with experience in the live music industry.
  • A proven track record in dealing with blue chip clients.
  • Excellent knowledge of partnership contracts and proven track record of how to deliver these successfully.
  • Understanding of contractual issues and positive approach to solving these
  • A thorough and deep understanding of brand marketing.
  • Operations and delivery experience, preferably across the suite of LN festivals.
  • Strong understanding of the application of new marketing techniques including digital, social media and mobile applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • High levels of leadership, tenacity, drive, patience and a focussed eye for detail.
  • An ability to manage people pressured situations.
  • High level skills in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Flexible, positive ‘can do’ approach, not afraid to roll up their sleeves to deliver when necessary.
  • A transparent, open approach with team values at the work of all the work they do.

  • Existing relationships with brands and experiential/media agencies
