We’re the team behind Amazon Tickets, a brand new home for live entertainment where customers can find and discover tickets to music and theatre. We made our debut back in 2014 when we started selling theatre tickets to Amazon customers and by May 2015 we had every ticket to every West End show. We have since expanded our selection to include top music and comedy acts as well as regional and touring shows, launching our new website in December 2015. We add new shows every week, have access to exclusive offers and pre-sale opportunities and customers like what we have to offer.

Role Purpose:

Business Development Manager - Music Promoters at Amazon Tickets is an expert in the Music industry. They offer specialist advice and are able to meet the demands of music promoters and conduct regular ‘Face to Face’ market visits to strengthen relationships. they will develop and execute the business strategy to grow new business and build long term merchant relationships to deliver value and outstanding selection for the Amazon customer.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Be the customers' advocate within the Tickets team, ensure the selection you create will thrill Amazon customers and merchants, therefore advancing our business.
  • Put the customer at the heart of your sales process to drive your approach and decision making.
  • Sets individual strategic goals and plans for each Merchant that links back to the Amazon Tickets objectives.
  • Manage long-term strategic relationships with all accounts through data driven recommendations and delivering results.
  • Monitor industry, regional and competitive trends and create plans to address competitive gaps and drive revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, weakness and strengths to accordingly develop the individual merchant strategy and corporate goals.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to determine selling and marketing strategies and opportunities.
  • Use problem solving techniques to fully review and understand the data available identify root causes and develop strong fact based business recommendations that positively impact the Merchant, Customer and the Amazon business.
  • Manage all year round appropriate contacts with your merchants, conduct regular ‘Face to Face’ market visits to strengthen relationships, explore opportunities and leverage sales and marketing propositions that link to the strategic objectives and goals.
  • Proactively identifies merchants they need to prioritise contact with in line with their Regional acquisition plan.
  • Effectively implements the contact strategy making adjustments to achieve the required quality and quantity of merchants on-boarded.
  • Develop a territory strategy to drive the portfolio expansion of Music and Theatre partners and allocation for growth.
  • Manage regular daily, weekly and monthly reports for internal and external partners as defined in the merchant / business strategy.
  • Use CRM tools to record activity, organise your workloads and accurately process orders to ensure a quality and error free process for our merchants and customers.
  • Achieve revenue goals and quality bar for merchants and customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in music, promoter, artist, venue and concert industry preferred.
  • Understanding of ticketing / booking organisations, systems and processes preferred.
  • Proven track record of consistently reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals via new and existing business in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Evidence of face to face consultative selling and using presentation tools and techniques to influence and engage merchants.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and an ability to influence others both internally and externally.
  • Highly motivated and self-sufficient individual, who operates with considerable autonomy and discretion and acts with personal integrity at all times

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree educated but not essential
