Handle Recruitment are searching for a Product Data Manager for this leading Record Label based in London.

You will have end to end responsibility for managing the flow of product information and digital and physical release assets, processing them in the supply chain system and preparing them for delivery. You will act as first point of contact across the label for any enquires and resolve any issues.

The ideal candidate will be confident in managing large volumes of data and metadata to meet deadlines and operate with a high level of accuracy at all times. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as first point of contact across the label, artist management and operations team to facilitate the delivery of products to market and resolve content issues and queries
  • Develop strong relationships across the label to become the point person for content management matters
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues as they relate to parts delivery for digital product and the setup of physical products
  • Ensure highest quality data standards are met and maintained for data across all systems
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of internal systems
  • Ensure assets (audio, artwork) are registered in internal systems
  • Participate in development and implementation of system fixes and enhancements to increase the functions of software tools, help to optimise efficiency and define product data standards
  • Catalogue maintenance: updates, communicating digital takedown instructions, physical deletions and ensuring compliance
  • Manage flow of physical data into internal systems, activate new products, co-ordinate the ingestion of new catalogues, deleting products, release date changes, communication of physical product pricing
  • Manage and circulate release schedules, sales notes, updates (release date changes etc.) and communicate product information both internally and externally as required
  • Become conversant in understanding the flow of data and content through internal systems, interfaces and external feeds.
  • supervise any junior or assistant, responsible for delegating, overseeing and approving their tasks & being accountable regarding quality control & completion

  • Previous experience of working with large volumes of metadata/label copy & production asset management
  • Highly proficient in using Excel to manipulate data
  • Knowledge and interest in current UK and international digital music landscape and its supporting technology (online, mobile, cloud etc.)
  • Good presentation and communication skills
