Warwick Students’ Union owns and operates The Copper Rooms (1400 and 500 cap), the centre point of nightlife on campus and an essential element of the regions cultural landscape. We deliver a range of student-centric and public-facing events covering DJ-led club nights, high-profile live music, comedy and theatrical productions. We cater for a wide range of musical and entertainment tastes, as well as facilitating the social provision within our five food and drink outlets across campus.

We are looking for an exceptional Programming and Promotions Manager to deliver a diverse and cost effective social provision programme across Warwick SU operation’s and outlets, including both regular and one off events that exceed the expectations of the student population and other customers.

You will lead on the development, implementation, booking, negotiation, monitoring and review of the Students’ Union social provision programme, to provide a high quality, diverse and inclusive programme for all students and other users. Deliver the marketing and promotional strategy for Warwick SU social provision whilst maximising the sales of tickets and event financial contributions. You will help to develop new audiences and contribute to the development of new income streams as well as supporting student led events and activity in collaboration with the student activities team and officers.

We are looking for an innovative person with a flair for writing, promoting and communicating to promote our venue, entertainments and food and beverage provision to students and the general public. You need to have experience of briefing designers, proofing and writing copy for publications, be able to communicate with a variety of audiences and have knowledge of current industry trends. You need to have excellent planning and organising skills in order to succeed in this role with a meticulous attention to detail. Experience of operating multi discipline events is a plus, but the commitment to learn from, adapt and listen to our audience is a must!
