The set this Friday (June 22) could well include the first ever performance of the Fiction/Polydor act's song written for the Olympics, First Steps.
Absolute Radio head of music James Curran said: "Our broadcast of Elbow live from the Isle of Wight Festival means Absolute Radio can treat fans and listeners who aren't lucky enough to be at the festival to the magic of the main stage."
Absolute, which is the festival's official radio partner, will be also air a selection of live tracks from Friday night headliner Tom Petty as well as highlights from Noel Gallagher and Pearl Jam's sets. Across the weekend the station will feature artist interviews and other highlights.
Presenters Pete Donaldson and Sarah Champion will begin broadcasting from the festival at 7pm on Friday and then this Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5pm and 10pm to midnight.
