Americana show dropped from Virgin Radio schedule

The UK's sole Americana and Alt.country radio show, presented by Nick Stewart (aka Captain America), has been taken off air by Virgin Radio shortly after it was switched to a graveyard slot on Monday mornings.

Virgin says its decision to axe the show, which went out for the last time last Sunday, is in a move to return to 'core broadcasting'.
