Apple lawsuit might collapse after new evidence is discovered - report

The lawsuit brought against Apple for allegedly deleting music from iPods that had been downloaded from rival music services might be dismissed. 

Lawyers for Apple have suggested that the two plaintiffs may not have purchased iPods in the timeframe covered by the lawsuit.

The lawsuit only covers iPods purchased between September 2006 and March 2009.
