Apple to kill iTunes' Ping?

According to All Things D, Ping hasn't taken favour with the millions of iTunes users so Apple is set to get rid, focusing instead on using partnerships with other social platforms to share content going forward.

Unveiled in September 2010, it was created as a way to share song, album purchases and recommendations with friends and users can discover new artists and follow their work.
