BMI reports largest revenues and royalty payments in 74-year history
BMI has reported record collection and distribution figures for the year ended June 30, 2013 with collections up 5% YoY and distributions up 8.5%.
The PRO took $944 million in FY 2013 compared to $899 million in the prior year and paid out royalty distributions of $814 million to publishers, songwriters and composers compared to $750 million.
Over a five-year period, BMI has generated more than $4.5 billion in revenues and paid out royalties of $4 billion.
