The Country Music Association has appointed TV executive Sarah Trahern as its new CEO.
Trahen, who has been based in Nashville since 1995 and has more than 27 years' experience in television, will take up the position on January 1 2014. She succeeds Steve Moore who left the organisation earlier this year, since when CMA Board president Ed Hardy has taken charge on an interim basis and will continue to lead until Trahen's arrival.
