The Stone Roses and Blur have been revealed as Friday headline acts as organisers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival announce its 2013 line-up.
Playing across the weekends of April 12-14 and 19-21, the other headlining performers are rock bands Phoenix and Red Hot Chili Peppers, who top the bill on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Red Hot Chili Peppers previously headlined the event in 2003 and 2007.
These top acts differ from the electronic music-based ones booked for the 2012 event that included Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia and David Guetta. It made international headlines due to a performance by Tupac via hologram technology.
Other British acts on the line-up for 2013 include Alt-J, Jake Bugg, The xx, Jessie Ware and Paul Oakenfold amongst many others.
