'Cronyism' row over T In The Park funding - report

A “cronyism” row has broken out after it emerged a former SNP advisor working for T In The Park helped the festival secure a £150,000 grant from the Scottish government.

Herald Scotland reports that DF Concerts' project manager Jennifer Dempsie set up a meeting between the promoter’s CEO, Geoff Ellis, and culture secretary Fiona Hyslop, which led to Hyslop signing off the “one-off grant funding support” for the event’s relocation to Strathallan Castle.

Opposition politicians have queried the move. ...
