Gerrit Meier has left Spotify after a year at the company where he served as general manager, Distribution & Partnerships. He plans to embark on a new venture.
Previously, Meier worked at Clear Channel as the digital division’s COO. He was vague with his forthcoming plans, but said that the new venture idea that he is pursuing will involve “a few existing companies as partners” as part of a “European-focused endeavor”.
Meier’s departure follows that of Teymour Farman-Farmaian who was Spotify’s chief monetization officer and is now CEO of Localini.
Will Page recently joined Spotify in a senior economics role and the company is was reported to be seeking managers for service launches in Italy and Poland, according to Billboard.
