French Constitutional Council rules against ISPs cutting internet connections

Despite the law passing last month, the council has now decided that such a measure conflicts with France's stance on human rights, which implies the freedom of access to online means of communication.

It has therefore decided that only a judge can take the decision to cut a user's internet access.
