In the newly-created role Geddes, who has been at EMI since 1990, will oversee all of the company's artist publicity activities.

She will lead a team that includes publicists across all EMI UK labels, Parlophone, Virgin and catalogue, supported by William Luff and Phoebe Sinclair, who both become publicity directors. Also reporting to Geddes is Stuart Freeman, who is promoted to senior online publicist.

Janet Choudry, Paul Guimaraes and Scott Steele continue in their duties as senior publicists.
