Global enters TV market with two new channels

Global has entered the world of TV with the launch of two new channels, Heart and Capital TV.

The group revealed plans to enter the television market earlier this summer and the new channels, based on Global's popular radio brands, are now available on Sky 387 and 388, and Freesat 516 and 517. They can also be accessed on the Heart and Capital iPhone and iPad apps as well as online.

"Global prides itself on clear, simple brand propositions for its consumers,” said the company's founder and executive president Ashley Tabor. “We want our brands to lead the way in delivering great content to people wherever and however they enjoy music, and the launch of Heart TV and Capital TV is the next step in deepening and extending the relationship we've already built with our audiences.

Global’s Group chief executive Stephen Miron added, "The launch of these new TV channels are a natural evolution for the Capital & Heart brands and will allow us to provide increased commercial opportunities for our radio partners."
