Google chairman: 'Deleting pirate sites from search is against our philosophy'

Google's chairman has said that deleting websites that infringe copyright laws from the search engine's listings is counter to the company's philosophy.

According to TorrentFreak, Eric Schmidt reiterated his stance at a conference last week in response to requests by copyright holders. “The industry would like us to edit the web and literally delete sites," he said.
