Google received 345m takedown requests in 2014 - report

Google received more than 345 million requests to remove supposedly infringing links in 2014, according to Torrent Freak. 

The figure is a 75% increase on the year before and was calculated by looking at Google’s weekly number of take down requests, which over the year adds up to over 345m.

 UK music industry trade body BPI was the top copyright holder and reprter in 2014, requesting the removal of over 60 million infringing links.
