Government begins debate on BBC future

The Government has set out the topics for debate as part of its review of the BBC’s Royal Charter.

The Royal Charter sets out the BBC’s remit and is due to expire at the end of 2016. The green paper presented by the government today is the first stage in setting out a new Charter.
