Great Escape appoints new festival programmer

The Great Escape festival has appointment of Adam Ryan to the role of festival programmer.

Ryan takes the reigns from Natasha Haddad who is joining Festival Republic to promote the Latitude festival.

Ryan has previously worked in a promotional role for The Great Escape parent company MAMA Group, including programming new talent stages at Lovebox and The Great Escape in the past.

The festival’s operations manager Kat Morris said of the appointment: “We’re very pleased to announce that Adam Ryan will be taking over as the programmer of The Great Escape festival.

“Adam is coming into the role with over ten years promotions and booking experience and an excellent track record in spotting up and coming talent. We’re very excited to have him on board”.

Ryan said: “I am very excited to take on this role and look forward to working with the team and partners involved.

“Programming Europe’s leading festival for new music is something that I have aspired to do for years and I can’t wait to be part of an event which has become the highlight of the music industry calendar”.

The Great Escape festival 2013 will take place on 16-18 May in Brighton.
