iTunes saw record revenues in Q1 FY 2014

Apple saw its iTunes platform garner record revenues of $4.7 billion during its first financial quarter of 2014, ended December 28 2013.

The revenue came from music, apps, video and books, with Apple making $57.6 billion in revenues in the quarter (up 5.7% year-on-year) and $13.1 billion net profit (flat).

The company sold record numbers of iPhones and iPads (51 million and 26 million respectively) over the period and 4.8 million Mac computers.
