Jackie Trent dies, aged 74

British singer/songwriter Jackie Trent has died after a long illness.

The artist, who passed away on Saturday (March 21) in a hospital in Menorca, was famous for writing the theme to TV soap Neighbours as well as No.1 single Where Are You Now (My Love), which topped the charts in 1965.

The Staffordshire-born singer also penned songs for the likes of Shirley Bassey and Nancy Wilson, writing more than 400 songs with then-husband Tony Hatch.
