Kickstarter UK raises £2m in first month
Kickstarter has released stats for its first month of activity in the UK – boasting more than £2 million pledged from over 45,000 backers, successfully funding 30 projects.
The £2 million pledged equates to £48 in pledges every minute, according to the Kickstarter blog.
In the US, Amanda Palmer was able to raise over $1.2 million from her fanbase to fund her latest album and tour.
Of the 400 projects that have launched, 30 have already been successfully funded. ...
