MCPS sets new worldwide rates for TV music rights

MCPS has announced new production music rates for independent television production company licences that will apply to productions delivered on or after 2 January 2015.

The new rates have been developed through discussions between Pact, the television production community, MCPS and its service provider, PRS for Music.

Through its service agreement with PRS for Music, MCPS administers the rights for over 200 production music publishers with a total of 860,000 high quality tracks written by professional songwriters and composers and spanning all ...
