Ministry of Sound and Sony Network Entertainment International have announced an exclusive global licensing deal to bring Hed Kandi compilations and singles to streaming services for the first time.

The dance brand will be available through Sony Entertainment Network’s Music Unlimited subscription service from today.

The Hed Kandi channel will be promoted globally across all Sony Entertainment Network and PlayStation websites and social channels.

On November 30 a launch party featuring Hed Kandi DJs will be streamed live from the exclusive Barasti Beach Bar in Dubai into PlayStation Home and will play on loop for a limited period thereafter. In the lead up to the launch, a competition will run to win an expense paid trip to the party in Dubai on PlayStation Facebook pages.

“Our partnership with Sony and Omnifone allows us to reach a new truly global audience for Hed Kandi’s uplifting catalogue,” said Tom Bulwer, head of mobile, Ministry of Sound. “Sony’s Music Unlimited service also enables us to introduce the Hed Kandi experience to our fans via a vast range of connected devices and mobile apps from wherever they are around the word.

“The service’s premium model also enables us to deliver our music in a way that is economically viable.”
