MPG unveils album shortlist

The category attracted so many nominees that a second vote was necessary to ensure voting integrity.

The shortlist for is The Coral - Butterfly House; Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More; and Robert Plant and The Band of Joy - Band of Joy

The MPG Awards 2011 take place at Floridita in London on February 9 with the winner of the Music Producers Guild's Producer of the Year Award also picking up a BRIT Award for Best Producer.

The Outstanding Contribution to UK Music Award, sponsored by PPL, will be awarded to Daniel Miller, chairman and founder of Mute Records. The award for Unsung Hero will be voted for by the readers of Pro Sound News Europe with the winner announced at the ceremony.
