Swedish online streaming platform Radical.fm has ramped up its offering and now includes curated radio, on-demand playlists and personal broadcasting for free.
The service is also advertising-free and boasts a 20 million song major label catalogue currently only available to Swedish users due to licensing restrictions.
Forgoing the freemium / premium models that similar services have adopted, Radical.fm instead suggests the option for users to donate to the company. Founder Thomas McAlevey has pledged that 10% of these will go to charity and the rest to pay artists. He said: "Radical believes radio is best experienced in an ad-free environment, and it is Radical's goal to provide all services free of advertising. But Radical relies on your support to continue."
