Nonesuch Records promote David Bither to co-president

Longtime Nonesuch Records senior executive David Bither has been named co-president of the WMG-owned label.

Bither (pictured), who joined Nonesuch in 1995 as SVP, has played an instrumental role in guiding the label’s A&R direction. Among his signings are acts such as The Black Keys, Emmylou Harris, Wilco, Laurie Anderson and Robert Plant.  He also played a key role in bringing the World Circuit label to Nonesuch in North America.
