Pandora saw an increase in listener hours of 9% in October – the first full month in which it faced competition from iTunes Radio in the US.
Pandora clocked up 1.47 billion listener hours according to the company’s CFO Mike Herring, with the platform’s overall share of US radio listening growing to 8.06% in October from 7.77% in September.
Herring said that the October data was in line with expectations and “showed the resilience of our business”.
