PledgeMusic has consolidated its ongoing relationship with independent film company Pulse Films.

The move follows a successful campaign from Pledge and Pulse surrounding the recent Libertines documentary There Are No Innocent Bystanders.

This time, the two companies have teamed up to promote new LCD Soundsystem documentary and concert film Shut Up And Play The Hits, which premiered at Sundance in January last year.

Directed by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, the film documents LCD Soundsystem’s final show at Madison Square Gardens on April 2nd 2011 and follows the band’s founder and frontman James Murphy as he confronts the reality of his decision to end the band at its peak.

From Monday 20th August, fans of LCD Soundsystem can pre-order the DVD or Blu-Ray of ‘Shut and Play the Hits’ through PledgeMusic and will receive access to a wide range of premium offers from www.pledgemusic.com/lcdsoundsystem

The DVD and Blu-Ray releases of the film will feature a 3-disc package including a 90-minute documentary and near 4 hours of concert footage, photo stills, outtakes and art cards.

Other premium offers available to fans via Pledgemusic will include limited edition, signed film posters, one-off t-shirts and a coffee-table photobook featuring an in-depth retrospective of LCD Soundsystem photos covering the entire history of the band.

Pledgers to this campaign will also receive access to regular ‘Pledger only’ updates about the project.

“The first project we worked on with Pulse Films, The Libertines film There Are No Innocent Bystanders, was a huge success for both parties so it’s great that we are working together on a new campaign,” said PledgeMusic MD Malcolm Dunbar.

“Shut Up And Play The Hits is a magnificent film and we are thrilled to give fans of LCD Soundsystem the chance to pre-order the DVD and Blu-Ray releases through PledgeMusic alongside a raft of other great premium offers. Our ability to reach out directly to music fans alongside Pulse Films high quality releases is a great combination.”
