PRS for Music income rose by 1.7% last year to a record £646.4m as online royalties surpased £50m annually for the first time.
The organisation brought in an extra £11.1m overall compared to the year before with a 32.2% rise in online income to £51.7m cancelling out revenue falls in international (down 4.0% to 180.1m) and live (down 14.1% to £19.3m). There were moderate gains from broadcast, public performance and recorded media.
