Radio 1 has told Music Week it is both “disappointed” and “surprised” by damning comments made against the BBC station by Dizzee Rascal on Twitter last night.

The rapper lambasted those behind Radio 1’s playlist decisions in a expletive-peppered rant on the social media site.

Dizzee appeared to be frustrated that his new single, Love This Town, was yet to be playlisted on the station saying he was "tired" of the station's music bosses not "making up your f*cking minds".
