Rajars: Radio 2 sees 6.8% rise YoY, Radio 1 down 2.2%

BBC Radio 1 saw a 2.2% decline in reach year-on-year in Q2 2013, according to the latest Rajar figures, while Radio 2’s listenership rose by 6.8% over the same period.

The Radio 1 weekly audience stood at just over 11.27m in the second quarter of 2012 and that had dropped to 11.02m at the same point this year.

The Q2 2013 figure did, however, show a 7.4% increase on Q1 2013, when the station pulled in only 10.26m.
