Royal Albert Hall reports record charitable investment in 2014

The Royal Albert Hall recorded an operating income of £18.8 million in 2014, attracting a total audience of 1.7 million to the 397 events held in its main auditorium.

Concerts included Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, The Cure, Suede and OneRepublic.

The London venue, a financially independent charity, invested a record £7.9m in charitable activities during the year, an 80% increase on the previous year, it revealed in its annual report.
