Shazam Entertainment is reportedly in the process of raising $20 million via a funding round that if successful, would value the tech company at half a billion dollars.
The report comes from Re/code which cites "sources close to the situation".
Since launching in 1999, Shazam has raised $120 million. In July last year, Mexican telecommunications company América Móvil invested $40 million and in 2011 a $32 million round in 2011 was led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
