Sony/ATV puts entire global music catalogue online

European music copyright holders might currently be up in arms over the failure of the Global Repertoire Database but in the US, major publishers are taking matters into their own hands.

Sony/ATV today claims to be the first major publisher to make its entire global catalogue available online for potential licensees of its music.

The firm appears to have pipped Universal Music Publishing to that boast - Sony/ATV's rival major announced its intention to launch a similar facility last month ...
