Sony's music business sees 20% operating income lift in fiscal Q2

Sony’s music arm posted an operating income of $122 million for its fiscal second quarter, ending September 30.

The figure represents a 20% increase on a constant currency basis. The company posted revenues of $1.16 billion – up 15%.

Sony's music performance contributed to overall operating income of $733 million for Sony Corp. overall and sales of $15.8 billion.
