In the suit Sony alleges that Werre, who was last week named as joint COO at EMI in addition to his role as president of EMI Music Services, had promised to join Sony on a three-year contract in 2010.

The suit, which was filed ay the Supreme Court in New York, also alleges that Werre used his deal with Sony to leverage a promotion at EMI.
