Music hosting platform SoundCloud has partnered with licensing platform Getty Images, enabling users to offer their tracks for licensing.
The deal sees SoundCloud’s streaming player and widget add a ‘license’ button if the artist of the track opts to make their track available for just that.
There will also be a branded collection of music on both the Getty Images Music and SoundCloud websites.
Getty will pay artists 35% of any licensing revenue gained through the system.
