Soundcloud pursuing 'big label' licensing deals following funding injection

Following a $60 million investment, Soundcloud is in discussions with 'big music labels' regarding licensing their songs.

That's according to reports from Wall Street Journal and  re/code that suggest Soundcloud has been quiet for a while about the cash injection that was finalised last year - which has led it to be valued at $700 million - so that it didn't bump up the price of label licensing deals during early negotiations.
